SEIED has selected American Academic Alliance to spearhead the establishment of an international educational framework in China. SEIED, the Steering Committee for the Internationalization of the Education District, was established by the PRC Education Department under the International Development Research Project team and Beijing Normal University in 2013. The Alliance, an American company with 25 years of experience in educational programming and management across Asia, will collaborate with SEIED to facilitate and promote the borderless exchange of knowledge, education resources, and infrastructure among international providers. The areas of collaboration and resource sharing include vocational and occupational training, higher education, elementary, middle and high school, preschool education, international immersion and exchange programs.The primary role of the Alliance will be to assist in the operation and management of educational programs within the international infrastructure framework offered under SEIED. SEIED’s mission includes educational development and delivery, evaluation, policy study and research, and increasing national human resources. SEIED established a steering community to initiate and develop high standards for international education at the state level, to expand student and teacher exchange programs, to offer professional consulting and training, and to create a multi-nation student immersion program.
